Job Description:

In this role, you would be assessing technical needs and difficulties of various stakeholders of the Darakht-e Danesh Classroom (DD Classroom) school, and troubleshooting them. As an IT Support Specialist you would be working closely with the students, teachers, staff and parents of our DD Classroom. DD Classroom is an online high school launched in response to the closure of girls’ secondary education in Afghanistan. It works on a cohort-based model, and students’ progress through their grade through live video classes, weekly recorded content, and timely assessments.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities: 

• Supporting and managing DD Classroom on DD Courses
• Serving as the on-call person to support teachers and students as needed
• Scheduling and conducting orientation sessions as required
• Creating guidebooks and resources to aid teachers and students
• Configuring and managing student and teacher devices
• Assisting teachers in conducting exams and other assessments
• Supporting the team with class, lesson, and student setup on DD Courses
• Generating monthly attendance records and reports
• Managing student enrollment forms, report cards, handbooks, and other aspects of DD Classroom administration
• Creating and arranging Telegram channels for students and teachers
• Handling email account settings, setting up 2FA, and activating Slack accounts for new staff

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technology is a plus
