When you post an opportunity on Yagankar, you describe what you actually need — the stack, the deliverable, the context. And when talent build their profiles, they describe what they have actually done. The new smart shortlist finally puts those two texts in front of each other.
What changed
Every opportunity page now shows its owner a ranked shortlist with a 0–100 fit score for every applicant, every invited candidate, and the wider talent pool — nobody relevant slips through because they missed your posting. The score is based on one rule: match what the employer wrote against what the talent has done. That includes:
- your title, category, description and required skills on one side, and
- the candidate's bio, work experience, education, certifications, portfolio projects and skills on the other.
So a developer whose bio never says "dashboard" — but who shipped two reporting dashboards in past roles — still surfaces near the top for your dashboard rebuild. Stated skills stay the anchor; real history fills in the rest.
Private by design
The matching runs on semantic language models that execute entirely on Yagankar's own servers. Profile text is never sent to a third-party AI service — no exceptions. For a platform serving professionals who care deeply about where their data travels, we consider that non-negotiable.
What it means for talent
Your profile is your ranking. The more concretely you describe your work experience and portfolio projects, the better the matcher can argue your case — even for postings you have not seen yet. Opportunity pages also show you a personal "% match" hint so you can spend your applications where they count.
Post an opportunity and the shortlist builds itself — or complete your profile so it can find you.
